Medicum offers its services on behalf of sponsoring clients in which the costs for our services as well as those of the visiting nurse are completely underwritten by the sponsoring client.
Patients are enrolled by their attending physician and remain under the treatment management of their attending physician. Patients remain responsible for the
payment of their prescription either via their private insurance or provincial formulary.

If someone you know has been prescribed ELIGARD® by their attending specialist
but would prefer to have the added convenience, comfort and time-savings of
having a trained nurse come to their home or place of work for their scheduled
injection of ELIGARD, then please contact the ELIGARD® Home Injection Program.
This program is absolutely free for all patients enrolled into the program by their
attending specialist.

Medicum’s Program Coordinators will assist enrollees by:

  • Confirming drug benefit eligibility and ongoing access to their prescription
    of ELIGARD either via their provincial formulary or private health
    insurance drug benefit.

  • Scheduling advance-ordering of their medication from their dispensing
    pharmacy on the patient’s behalf.

  • Scheduling free home visits by trained and licensed nurses for
    ELIGARD injections.
